My mom taught for 27 years in Texas public school schools. My aunt taught for 25 years. My grandmother taught in Brownsville. I believe in public education, and I believe that You cannot improve public education by taking money out of the system, particularly one that is already underfunded. That's just going to make and exacerbate some of the problems that we already have. We should be putting more effort into supporting our public education system, not taking money out. (18:17–18:24)
