I am standing here today because of the bravery of the Capitol police officers and the Metropolitan police officers in Washington, DC, 140 of whom were injured that day. Several [police officers] died as a result of the actions that day [January 6]. Without their bravery and their commitment to their duty, I would not have met myself son Cameron.
