UPFRONT: Defending 'no' votes amid tax relief deal fallout

Published | Video Starts at 05:31

Absolutely not. There was no vote count taken at any point in time up until probably the Monday before. They started pinging people. And I think what happened was There were a couple of Leaders both in the assembly and the Senate, along with the governor who said we'll just get it done and we'll just push it to the floor and they'll vote for it without talking to their caucus. Which was really upsetting for me, especially seeing that there was a special interest group that knew about this deal weeks ago and as a member of the Senate I had no idea what was going on.
