And I'm sure so many of my peers who went into military service or were in had that day and it, you know, erase any doubts I had in my mind about whether I would go do this. And so I went to the Naval Academy after I graduated. and that set me on a path to serving as an officer. After I graduated, I deployed at sea twice, went to Iraq, and ultimately my time in Annapolis, for me, really reinforced my love of this country. (04:05–04:08)
