I think it keeps us in touch with the struggles of average Texans who have to work long hours, have to work tiring hours in order to support their families. So while The system is built in a way where it limits who can participate in this process as an elected leader. I also believe that at the same time, those that are doing it and also work while they're doing it keeps us closer and in tune with the needs and the challenges of the everyday Texan. (13:33–13:44)
