As we all know, throughout our history, American women have played a critical role in so many of our nation's crowning achievements and innovation. And their success is America's success. I was proud to support previous legislation authorizing this museum. Today's bill allows for construction of [the Smithsonian American Women's History Museum] to proceed. Specifically, the bill designates an exact location on the National Mall for the museum, which can be changed by the President within 180 days of enactment. (00:33–00:38)
