This week on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, we considered and debated what's called the Build America 250 Act. It's legislation that invests in America's surface infrastructure funds things like bridges and mass transit systems and highways and roads. This surface transportation reauthorization bill directs funding for the next five years until 2031. It was a very straightforward amendment. It was a transparency bill. And I'm going to break the news for you. This transparency bill was overwhelmingly voted down, unfortunately. (03:49–03:55)
