Currently Republican lawmakers and Governor Tony Evers have yet to reach consensus on what to do with the state's projected 2.3 billion dollar budget surplus. You give it back or you spend it. I prefer to invest it like Tommy Thompson. Invest it in a way that gives us the most long term benefit which I believe is 2/3 of picking up 2/3 of the cost of schools for the state. Two thirds was the original state school funding goal, but it has fallen below 50%. My name is Brett. I'm running for governor of Wisconsin again. (02:33–02:49)
