Look, black New Yorkers are struggling with many of the same things all New Yorkers are struggling with. Can't afford the housing, can't imagine they could become homeowners or start businesses or feel safe in their neighborhood. So I've got a plan to build 500,000 new units of housing to restore pathways to homeownership for all families, including black families. and to make our neighborhoods safe from gun violence, from retail theft, and to end street homelessness for people with serious mental illness.
