This one happened to take place right downstairs from the controller's office. So my staff and I feel very personally about it. Just outside our office, A member of our community, a New York neighbor, was stabbed multiple times in a provoked altercation and is now in critical condition in the hospital. And the suspect of this heinous crime is still at large. And this incident is just one more example of why New Yorkers don't feel safe in the subway or too often on the streets of our communities.
