National Police Week also serves as a solemn reminder that some who answer the call do not return home this year. Officers from Michigan State Police, Oakland County, Hamtramck, Hillsdale County, Ecourse and Melvindale are among those being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial here in Washington D.C. their names, their service and their sacrifice deserve to be remembered by a grateful nation.
