We should be attracting the best and the brightest and paying them the salaries that they deserve. No teacher, no teacher should make less than $60,000 a year. We need to understand that the ages of 0 through 4 are the most important intellectually and emotionally for a human being. Which means we need high quality child care that is affordable for every American family. And we don't need our young people who are getting a higher education to come out of school. (35:13–35:24)
