Madam President, let me say a few words about where we are as a nation, what this budget resolution does and why I am strongly opposed to it. Madam President, as you may know, We have more income and wealth inequality in our country today than we have ever had in the history of America. Three people on top own more wealth than the bottom half of American society. Top 1% owns more wealth than the bottom 90%. CEOs now make about 300 times more than their workers. (00:19–00:29)
