It's not going to be profitable to deliver medicines and goods and checks to that old lady at the end of the road. In my view, if we privatize the US Postal Service, it will be a absolute disaster in general and in particular for rural America. Rural America will be disproportionately impacted in a negative way. And if it was privatized, like I'd like to put it, they would expensive, faceless contractors with surcharges, and they aren't even going to go everywhere that the rural carriers go. (01:25–01:38)
