Having been here four and a half months, I wish there was more debate, that there was more robust conversations about the issues, but here we are. But this is a very simple bill. This bill just says, look, let's just make certain that there's federal jurisdiction whenever a federal law enforcement officer is killed or injured in a line of duty. And let's make certain that we have the police officers backs like they have ours and put a mandatory 20 year prison sentence for anybody that harms a member of law enforcement. (05:21–05:33)
