I think a lot of people around him knew that if this went to the Supreme Court and this was a fight they were willing to have, that there was a good chance it was not going to be a victory. But It did open up a big conversation nationwide on immigration, immigration status and birthright citizenship. People coming in. Birther tourism is a simple way of putting it.
