I think that when populism takes on this authoritarian flavor, then we get what we get right now with the president. But I think that When populism is rooted in integrity and responsiveness to people's material needs, we can elect someone funded by small dollar donors. and is running on a platform that speaks directly to people's need for health care and housing and wages.
