So instead of putting voters first year after year, with little exception, Washington now elevates the desires of lobbyists and powerful corporations at the expense of the rest of us. And what does that mean in practice? Real wages are falling behind. The prices of everything from groceries to houses are skyrocketing. Our water, food and air are being poisoned to pad the profits of major corporations.
