Our Attorney General Chris Mays uncovered a scheme in which two out of state individuals used dozens of fictitious ghost students and forged documents to fraudulently obtain more than $110,000 in taxpayer funded voucher dollars. We've also seen repeated reports of private voucher dollars used to purchase things like diamond rings, trips to Disneyland, Legos, lots of Legos, and even lingerie because there are no checks and balances. When our public dollars go into these private systems, we have to stop it. This is not a tax credit that's going to help us. It's going to continue to hurt our public schools. (22:31–22:47)
