The 287 agreements say that Virginia's law enforcement officers, when there's a 287 agreement in place, work, quote, under the supervision or direction of U.S. immigration and Customs Enforcement. As governor, I think that members of the Virginia State Police or members of the Department of Corrections should be working under and at the direction and supervision of the leadership within their agencies.
