And now we continue to have so many Virginians who risk everything for the cause of freedom across the globe. But service has always been part of Virginia's shared history. And today, Nearly 714,000 veterans call Virginia home, roughly 1 in 12 of our 8.8 million residents. In addition to being home to the Pentagon, Virginia's home to the Naval Station Naufuc, the largest naval installation in the world.
