Hope is not a strategy. And that's why as Virginia's next governor, I will protect Virginia's producers amid uncertainty. I will support the Port of Virginia and the jobs it creates right here in Hampton Roads as well as the industries it supports across the Commonwealth. I will support small business owners as they market and sell their products abroad. Nearly 90,000 Virginia jobs are directly dependent exports and far more jobs indirectly rely on trade with other countries. (17:57–18:06)
